On 7/1/2017 Woody left TIER. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge sometime during the early morning hours.  I went out in the morning to feed/water and found him dead.  I'm still trying to process the loss of this lovely boy. There were no marks on the ground to indicate that he had struggled.  The evening before a friend and I had been out visiting with the horses and he seemed fine.
He came to us in 2000 and had been with TIER for 17 years, 4 months, 24 days. As best as we can figure, he was approximately 26 years old.  We think he was around 9 years old when he came to us.
Woody was the guy that you could put in with other horses, ponies and donkeys without any horsey scuffles.  His presence clamed nervous horses and he was best friends with Shilo his little Arabian buddy.
He resided at TIER as an ambassador for his breed, teaching novice volunteers and children how to groom, lead, pick out feet, give treats and lots of hugs!
Love you to the Moon and back Woody!  Thank you for giving so much of yourself.  I miss your beautiful face and sweet personality.  I miss YOU!
