Prince William
Prince William was very much loved by his previous little folk. He loves little people, being brushed and hugged. Unfortunately, his little folk grew up and are too big to ride him. A cataract formed in his right eye, impaired his vision and his owners were concerned about where he might end up. To ensure his future safety, Prince William has joined TNT in a Heartbeat.

TNT in a Heartbeat is a collaborative effort between TRUE INNOCENTS EQUINE RESCUE (TIER) and TRINITY THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER (TTRC) to enrich the lives of rescued horses (mentally, spiritually, socially and physically), and nourish the physical, mental and emotional health of specific needs children, adults and veterans using suitable rehabilitated rescue horses therapeutic equine-assisted activities. The magic between a rescue horse and an individual with specific needs can happen in a heartbeat! Our vision is to create and nurture mutually rewarding relationships between horses and individuals who are a different kind of perfect!

Should the program no longer be favorable for the horse, then the horse will return to TIER as a sanctuary horse for the remainder of its life, guaranteeing that they remain safe, loved, and cared for properly in their golden years.

With a very heavy heart we wanted to let you know that Prince William passed away this morning. He was the most amazing pony I have ever been blessed to work with. He touched so many lives and made everyone smile!!

He helped kids gain confidence, practice school subjects, play broom stick polo, learn how to speak and walk and so much more! Thank you for your heart Prince William. Your love has filled so many hearts and lives.

Thank you to all who loved and supported his journey in healing so many in so many ways

12/3/2018 - Thats what friends are for!

One of the regular students at Trinity Therapeutic Riding shared her beanie with Mr Prince William to warm up his ears during warm up! That’s what friends are for!

6/29/2018 - Settled in

Prince William has been with TNT in a Heartbeat for a month now.  He has really settled in and is doing quite well as a therapy pony.  His pasturemate, Miss Sis (the lovely horse behind him in the picture below) is also a therapy horse. Our vision is to create and nurture mutually rewarding relationships between horses and individuals who are a different kind of perfect!  Therapeutic Riding sessions are conducted on a one to one basis as each person’s needs are different and each session is tailored to meet their individual needs.  There are side walkers who help to stabilise the person and the horse is matched to the rider’s ability level.

Physical Benefits for the rider can be greater strength and agility, stretching and strengthening of underused or underdeveloped muscles. Reduced spasticity, improve balance, posture and coordination. improve weight-bearing ability. improve circulation, respiration, and metabolism. Improve fine and gross motor skills. improve reflexes.

Sessions not only focus on the therapeutic riding skills but also the development of a relationship between horse and rider.

5/30/2018 - The Prince arrives & an alliance is formed!
