Individual Donations

Donations from individuals have helped make TIER what it is. With your help, we can continue to rescue horses from abuse, starvation, and death, rehabilitate them, and find loving, caring forever homes for them. ALL donations are appreciated. Your donations go directly to purchase food & supplies and pay for medical & farrier services. If you wish your donation to be spent in a specific way, be sure to specify it.

Network for Good:	Network for Good disburses all donations on the 15th of each month (or nearest business day). Each disbursement includes payment for donations made to your organization in the previous calendar month. For example, a January 15th payment includes all December donations.

Donate a Bale of Hay or a Manicure!

Due to the downward trend in the economy, Hay is purchased in small bulk loads. When financially possible we increase the number of bales ordered. Ordering in bulk allows the horses to have consistency in their hay and gives volunteers a chance to climb up & down the haystack! Currently, hay prices are $27 a bale for Alfalfa & $18.50 for Orchard (for the TIER Donkeys).

The farrier visits appx. every 8 weeks. Hoof trims run $30. If there are hoof issues (navicular, founder, clubbed foot, etc.) the farrier is out more often. The fee runs a bit more if shoes or pads are required.

These are major, recurring expenses of care/maintenance for the TIER residents. Can you donate an amount to help?

With a matching gift, you may be able to double or triple your contribution!

Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees (and sometimes by retirees and spouses of employees). If your company has a matching gift program, the impact of your gift may be doubled! You can get more information about your employer’s matching gift benefits from their human resources department.

A donation to TIER is a fitting tribute on a special birthday, a big graduation or as a memorial to a loved one that has passed away. We will also work with you to arrange for Charitable Remainder Trusts or other major gifts. Contact us for details.

Visit our Wish List to see what items we currently need. Periodically, we have Used Tack Sales and other fundraisers where we need donations.

You can also donate your gently used tack for resale. Proceeds are directly used for the TIER residents.

TIER is supported almost exclusively by individual donations and receives no Federal, State, County or City funding. You can make a difference with donations of money or supplies, sponsorships and volunteering. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt agency your donations of equipment, feed, supplies or funds are deductible to the full extent allowable by law. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
