1998 - 2000 They Are Home - Because of YOU!

I would like to publicly thank our webmistress for putting together this lovely collage of the horses that have found homes from our inception, 1998 to the end of year 2000. Unbeknownst to us, the TIER webmistress collected these pictures, put them together in a collage and presented this work of art, love and caring to us at Christmas 2000.

There are days that are hard to continue this work. There are days that I see horses that are so desperately in need of homes...and yet they do not find one. There are days that I feel overwhelmed with the sheer magnitude of the day to day tasks to be done to help the horses. There are days when I wonder how we will continue to feed, farrier, vet, get shelters, sand, find help to clean, etc. as we get low on funds for these things. There are days that people say hurtful things and I wonder...why continue?

Then there are the days that I get to say to a horse in a bad situation..."You Are Going Home!" There are the days I receive pictures of these wonderous horses from their new owners and the fatastic updates! There are the days that I make a new friend and strengthen friendships! There are days that I receive messages of support and words of encouragement to continue to help the horses! There are days that a group of people work together to help a horse in need and it gets done! There are days that I can walk out back and see the zest for living in the eyes of the horses that have been rescued, the nickers, the head rubs on your shoulder, the green
stains on your shirt, the smell of horses...the wonderous smell of horses! And...there is the day when your webmistress sends you a collage of the horses that people like you have helped!

Right there. In your face! Why continue????? I'll tell you why...because of what you see in that collage. When the Heart Speaks, The Heart Listens!
